Dr Ishita Sharma

Dr. Ishita Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Punjab. Prior to joining RGNUL, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at School of Law, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun. Her doctoral research is on Emerging Dimensions of the Writ of Habeas Corpus from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She has published papers in Scopus Indexed as well as UGC CARE journals. Her areas of specialisation are Constitutional Law, International Law, Human Rights and Gender Justice.

SARU ARIFIN

Saru Arifin has been a tenured position as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia since 2009. His doctoral research focuses on Public International Law, Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law, and Legislation studies. He has authored multiple articles in these fields in prestigious international journals published by Routledge, Brill, and SAGE and indexed by Scopus. Furthermore, he currently holds the position of Director of Programs at the Institute for Migrant Rights in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia, starting in 2016. He also served as the Head of Law and Human Rights Advocacy Clinics from 2018 to 2020 and as the Chief Editor of the Pandecta Research Law Journal from 2011 to 2020.

Centre for Business Law Academics Counsel and Chambers (BLACC) is a non-profit organization, first of its kind in Nepal, dedicated towards the goal of promoting business law and bridging the gap between legal education and business law practice. BLACC aims to be a shared discussion forum and information exchange platform for individuals interested in the field of business law and dispute resolution, of national and international sphere. Along with that, BLACC endeavors to strengthen the knowledge generation and business law interest of its members through research works and publications. This is further materialized through creation of an open-source resource database targeted towards enhancing skills and capabilities of its members and member of legal fraternity.

One of BLACC’s major deliverable to achieve its set objective has been the BLACC International Yearbook. The BLACC Yearbook is an annual publication, one of a kind in its region, that aims to address contemporary issues of business law and dispute resolution that are of interest to the national and international community. Yearbook aims to serve as a platform for knowledge generation and dissemination among the business law practitioners and academics around the world.

The University of Ilorin, Nigeria

Prof Wahab Egbewole,SAN, Vice Chancellor University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

Wahab Egbewole is a legal practitioner and academic. He was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate on 20th August, 1985 and currently a Professor in the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, University of Ilorin. He served in various capacities in the Faculty including the office of Dean between 2010 & 2012. He is a member of the Governing Council of University of Ilorin representing the Senate. Between 2015 and 2018, he served as the Director of General Studies Division of the University and currently the Research Manager for the Faculty of Law. He is a member of several learned societies including The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) which he joined in 2016. He has served as the Newsletter Editor and Vice Chair of the IBA Committee on Negligence and Damages and elected as the Chair of the Committee in 2020. He has also won many grants for researches in Law and Society as well as a Principal Researcher on the Law and Disability Right grant awarded by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA). On 24th September, 2018 he was sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), the highest professional ranking for lawyers in Nigeria. His wealth of experience in the Law sector has been of immense benefit to Welfare Microfinance Bank Ltd where he served the bank as a member of the Board of Director and as Chairman of Board Credit/Risk Management Committee till August, 2022. In September, 2022, he was appointed the 11th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin. He has attended several conferences in practically all the continents of the world. He is serving as External Examiner in a few Universities across the continent. He is happily married and blessed with children.

Dr Jayanta Gosh

Dr. Jayanta Ghosh is currently serving as the Head and Research Fellow at the Centre for Regulatory Studies, Governance, and Public Policy at The W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences in India. Dr Ghosh has made significant contributions in the fields of Intellectual Property Law, Law and Technology, Information Privacy, Data Protection, and Data Security Laws. His work spans diverse areas, with ongoing projects, including a collaborative effort with the University of Cambridge on “Intellectual Property and Sustainability.” His educational journey includes obtaining a doctorate in law from the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Dr. Ghosh’s dedication to his field has been recognized through prestigious fellowships, including the DAAD Fellowship and Indo-Canadian Shastri Institute Fellowship. Dr. Ghosh is also the founder of The IPThink-Tank, an initiative aimed at spreading awareness of Intellectual Property Law to society.

Prof Charles Manga Fombad

Charles Manga Fombad is Professor of comparative constitutional law and the Director of the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa, (ICLA), Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria. He is a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa, a fellow of the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS), an Associate Member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and until recently, a Vice President of the International Association of Constitutional law.

Defence of Human Rights and Public Service Trust Pakistan (DHRPSTP)

Apart from providing legal assistance to the Families of Enforced Disappearances, designing campaigns, carrying out national and international lobbying, she also takes care of the psychosocial counselling of the victims of torture. Her work also includes providing subsistence to some of the bereaved families of the disappeared. Out of 2900 cases of the Disappeared 749 had been pleaded in the Supreme Court by herself, one third of the total have been traced or released. In May 2022 She was appointed Amicus Curiae for the cases of the disappeared in the Islamabad High Court.

Amina’s organization is regularly involved in the United Nations mechanisms for lobbying and redress. DHR is part of the civil society initiatives in the country and of bigger international networks for Human Rights, Truth and Justice; like AFAD, ICAED and FORUM-ASIA.
